We may also anonymise your personal data and use it in statistical analysis, which will help us to design better website services. Anonymisation means we remove anything, which could identify you as an individual from the rest of the information we need.

The information we collect about you is collected directly from your email request via our website.
Who do we share your personal information with?
Your information is shared with staff within Dorward House, Montrose in order to deal with your request. If you have made a complaint, this will be dealt with under our Complaints policy & procedure and we share this information with the Care Inspectorate.
How we protect your personal information:
Your personal information is held:
- electronically on secure servers operated by or on behalf of Dorward House, Montrose
- We do not ordinarily transfer personal information out with the European Economic Area (EEA). The exception would be if you live outwith the EEA and have requested a response via electronic communications e.g emails
No one has access to the personal information we hold about you unless it is necessary to enable us to carry out our duties towards you. No third parties have access to your personal data unless permitted by law.
We never sell your information to third parties for any purpose including marketing. We do not provide your information to any other public bodies or departments unless the law requires us to do so.
How long do we keep your personal information? We will only retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected. If you have:
- requested a brochure – we will delete your email once the information has been sent to you
- asked to visit Dorward House we will delete your email request once the visit has taken place
- made a complaint this will be dealt with under the Dorward House complaints procedure and records retained for 6 years
- enquired about job vacancies we will:
- keep your enquiry for 6 months
What rights do you have over the personal information we hold?
The personal information we hold about you is your information and the law gives you a number of rights in relation to that information. You have the right to:
- be informed about the information we hold and how we process it
- access all the information we hold about you – please ask to see our Subject Access Request procedure for fuller details
- require us to rectify any errors in the information we hold about you
- erasure of data
- ask us to restrict your information from being processed under certain circumstances
- object to us collecting or processing your personal information
